Super Sunset Series 2010 Volunteers

Melbourne City Sports is a community, not for profit organisation, owned by the City of Melbourne and run by YMCA Victoria.  Each year we run the popular Super Sunset Series Fun Run / Walk which draws participants from many sectors, including corporates, community, schools, and families.  To ensure the success of this wonderful community event, we require the assistance of volunteers, who provide the backbone of our Series.

We are once again seeking enthusiastic people who may be interested in volunteering at one or all of our events in 2010.  There are a variety of roles available for volunteers, including registration and information, timing and results, marshalling, race pack distributions, drink station attendants and more.  Most of the volunteer roles are four hours in duration, with a short, compulsory briefing and training session prior to the actual event.

 

As you are aware, there are many reasons why people volunteer; to expand their practical experience and insight at a major event, to form contacts in the industry and meet new exciting people, to give something back to the community and to develop their event & personal skills.  And mainly, to have fun!
